Captain Ron Rusch Fishing Report

Tackle-busting steelies

Yesterdays rainless cold front and high winds made for another day of fantastic steelhead fishing. Hooked 35+ and landed 13 all steelhead. No rain stacked the fish up for some fine angling.

Sunday most were Male Coho.

The group caught the limit before 11:00 as the wind switched from the south to the northeast. These tackle-busting steelies were full of energy this day. Breaking lines, ripping the hooks off the lures and jumping for freedom was all part of it this day. Many doubles were battled but never more than one made the net each time.

The usual shallow water and red and black did the trick.
