Captain Ron Rusch Fishing Report

Smallmouth Bass 5/29/02 East Side Presque Isle

The morning southwest wind was warm and full of action.
The hot action was all 14 to 15 inch bass. It was like they were all the same fish.

Late morning gave no wind. Kept moving but the fish were still 14 to 15 inches.

Noon seem to turn on the big ones.

The power pull of a 20 inch 5.5 pound smallmouth is quite a thrill. Up and back down it goes until the net scoops it in.

Before we know it a 19.5 inch 5.75 pound awesome smallie was battled to the net.

Good all day action today!

Minnows large and small worked well
12 to 30 feet
Water temp:54

Each day has brought up some nice size Yellow Perch.
